Bethmännchen Recipe #1

Ingredients

  • 500g marzipan
  • 100g powdered sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 100g flour
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 125g hazelnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the marzipan, powdered sugar, and egg yolks until well-combined.
  3. Add the flour and milk, and mix until the dough comes together.
  4. Shape the dough into 50 small balls, and press a hazelnut onto the top of each one in a cross shape.
  5. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until the Bethmännchen are golden brown.
